DIY Carbon Fiber Felt Burners. 3 sizes. video shows a few DIY Carbon Felt Wick “Burners” I put together. various uses include heating, lighting and/or cooking. these could also be used with some of my previously posted air heaters videos. the carbon felt seems to work great as a wick. the material “wicks up” liquid at least as well as cotton, possibly even better, and since the wicks don’t visibly “burn up”, they should last for a very long time. wicks were made from a 1/4″ 6mm carbon fiber felt welding blanket 12″ x 12″.
